|These stunning little fungi often pop up in huge groups. I love their deep ochre-orange colouring, which contrasts with their white milk.
Despite its enticing name, this is not all that tasty apparently. They're stunningly beautiful - all sorts of interesting colours on the cap, and they bleed a bright carrot-orange milk.
Very common, and easily identified by the milky white secretion when damaged.
If it weren't for the deep brick-red colour, these would probably be indistinguishable from L. quietus above and L. tabidus below.
